Mrs. Marilyn M. Boecker,84, of Burlington, IA died Thursday, August 3, 2022 at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
Born on May 31, 1938 in Ft. Madison, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary Moeller. She married Roger M. Boecker on November 19, 1966 in Burlington. He died April 27, 2018.
Marilyn spent a number of years as a beautician before joining Case Company. She worked there for years on the Production Line before retiring.
She was of Catholic faith and was a member of UAW #807. Marilyn loved flowers, gardening, shopping, going to auctions and the Cubs.
Survivors include two sons, Lance (Mary) Boecker of Kansas City, MO and Travis (Jody) Boecker of Mediapolis, IA; two grandchildren, Clare and Maggie Boecker of Kansas City, MO; three step-grandchildren, Brody Broders of Muscatine, IA, Madyson Broders of New London, IA and Brady Broders of Wapello, IA; one step-great granddaughter, Emylia Broders; four brothers, Greg Moeller of Mt. Pleasant, IA, Marvin Moeller of Houghton, IA , Darrell Moeller and Paul Moeller of Salem, IA; and two sisters, Eileen Barnett of Salem, IA and Vera Glasscock of Ft. Madison, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and four brothers.
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Marilyn Boecker will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Lunning Chapel with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the donors’ choice in memory of Marilyn Boecker.
