Obituary
Wayne Harry Krantz, 77, of Burlington, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at the Great River Medical Center.
Born July 10, 1943, in Lawn, Pennsylvania he was the son of Harry and Marie Farst Krantz. On December 2, 1966 he married the love of his life Linda Zaiss in Nowata, Oklahoma.
He graduated from High School in 1961. He attended Pittsburgh State University on a scholarship for baseball. He graduated with an accounting degree and later received his Master's in accounting from Tulsa University.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He worked in Tulsa as a controller of Williams Bros. Pipeline and later moved to Burlington, Iowa with his family and started Krantz Accounting Service. He later sold it and became a full-time investment advisor which he eventually sold to Two River Bank and shortly, thereafter, retired.
He was a member of the Kiwanis club, tennis club and loved playing golf. His other passion was serving on the Burlington Bee's board. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Zaiss Krantz; two children, Art Krantz of West Burlington, and Wendy Conlee of West Burlington; six grandchildren Dylan, Zachery, Andrew and Spencer Krantz and Nicholas and Caitlyn Conlee; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Linda Brokaw, brother, Glenn Krantz and his parents-in law, Art and Helen Zaiss.
Due to Covid-19, a private graveside service will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
