Patricia L. McCloskey of Burlington, Iowa passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2020.
She was born March 24, 1931 in McDonough County, Illinois to Gustav and Bertha Schnarr. Patricia (Pat) was one of nine children and lived her childhood in Lewiston, Illinois.
She married Robert (Bob) McCloskey on December 23, 1949 and they made their life home in Burlington, Iowa. She was an employee at Southeastern Community College for many years. Pat was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and loved hiking, camping, flea markets and traveling with Bob.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Robert; and five children, Debbie Totemeier, Gary (Cindy) McCloskey, Tom (Nancy) McCloskey, Janice (Mike) Ball, and Betsy McCloskey. She also greatly loved her 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Per Patricia's wishes there will be no public service. A private family burial will be held in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia requests that donations be made to the Des Moines County Humane Society and the Burlington Homeless Shelter.
