Linda Marie Coffin, 61, of Burlington, died at 7:54 am Friday, February 19, 2021, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Linda was born May 6, 1959, in Omaha, NE. She was the daughter of Paul and Phyllis Kestel Fisher. On July 14, 1990, she married MacArthur "Mac" Coffin II.
She graduated from Ottumwa School of Medical Technology in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
During her career she was employed by Burlington Medical Center from 1981 to 1994, she then worked at the Burlington Area Family Practice Center from 1994 until 2002.
Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband, as they had many opportunities to do so with his business and otherwise. She saw many lovely tropical destinations. She also loved weekly gatherings with their circle of friends in Burlington. Her many hobbies include, cross-stitch, scrap booking, baking, cooking, gardening and word puzzles. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband, MacArthur "Mac" Coffin, II of Burlington; mother, Phyllis Fisher of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Deborah (Jeff) Jump of Cedar Rapids, and Susan (Arnaldo) Fisher of Tempe, AZ; three brothers, Thomas (Carolyn) Fisher of Minneapolis, MN, Dan Fisher of Tempe, AZ, John Fisher of Cedar Rapids; step-son, Ryan (Tamara) Coffin of Middletown; 4 step-grandchildren, Bailey Rump, Halle, Brenton, and Taylor Coffin of Middletown; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Paul Fisher, she is preceded in death by her step-son, Jason Coffin.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mrs. Coffin will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Fr. Steinle as the officiant. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery following the service. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Drake in downtown Burlington following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
