Rosemarie Baumgartner, age 80, of West Burlington, IA, died at 11:53 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born May 31, 1939 in Saarbrucken, Germany, she was the daughter of Matthias Phillipp and Wilhelmina Karoline (Tausend) Kraemer. She married Byron Nelson Baumgartner September 1, 1959 in Saarbrucken, Germany.
She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Rosemarie spent her years as a homemaker and she enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include four children, Michael Baumgartner of Schaumburg, IL; John Baumgartner of Streamwood, IL; Jean Baumgartner of West Burlington, IA; and Terri Baumgartner of Tiffin, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Ingrid Grossman.
A private family service will be held on Monday, May 4, at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, IA with Roger Ammon officiating. Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.
