Obituary

Carolyn Rae "Moo Moo" Nuss, 85, of Mediapolis, died at 4:25 AM Monday, August 26, 2019, at the Prairie Ridge Care & Rehabilitation in Mediapolis.

Born April 28, 1934, in Columbia, MO, she was the daughter of Raymond and Josephine Schmidt Audsley. On May 6, 1955, she married Mark David Nuss in Burlington, IA. He passed on December 26, 2009.

Carolyn was a homemaker.

She enjoyed camping, painting, ceramics and drawing. Family time was especially important to her and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons, Steve (Sue) Nuss of Burlington and Jeff (Debbie) Nuss of Danville; one daughter, Debra Moore of Sperry; Six granddaughters, Sommer (Chase) Burroughs, Shelbie (James) Doty, Melissa (Josh) Edgington, Jackie Hartweg, Chelsie Mason and Jamie Shilling; two grandsons, Tony Mason and Ryan Nuss; two step-granddaughters, Sarah Lue and Amy Tappendorf; one step-grandson, Chris Tappendorf; twelve great-grandchildren: Jack, Jacob, Finley and Emrey Burroughs, Whitney and Britney Doty, Isaiah, Jordan, Makiah, Beckett and Leighton Edgington, Charlotte Hartweg; two step-great-grandchildren: Noah Lue and Jacob Tappendorf; one brother, Paul Audsley of Lincoln, NE; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Julie Ann Mason; one great-grandson, Jackson Edgington and one sister-in-law Pam Audsley.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Carolyn will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 30, 2019, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Baker officiating. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service. Graveside Committal Services will be at 3:00 PM Friday, August 30, 2019 at Aspen Grove Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Prairie Ridge Care Center Activity Fund.
