Jack J. Reid , 70, of Galesburg, died at 1:01 AM Monday, February 10, 2020, at the OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Born June 22, 1949, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Jack John and Marguerite Helen Powell Reid.
Jack worked as an electronic technician for Office Machine Consultants of Rock Island.
He was a 1967 graduate of Burlington High School.
Jack was a sports fan and enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeyes football, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Green Bay Packers football. He played baseball from little league through High School as well as the American Legion Team. He also enjoyed duck hunting and fishing on the Mississippi River.
Survivors include his special friends, Jerry (Pamela) Williams and Randy Benson, two aunts, several cousins, and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Linda Reid, and beloved Labrador, Sam.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The Graveside service for Jack will be 10:00 AM Saturday, February 22, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating.
