Patricia Ann Brockway, 82, of Mediapolis, died Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her home.
Born September 26, 1936 in Jefferson, Iowa she was the daughter of Irving and Elta (Miller) Nichols. She married Kenneth Brockway on July 16, 1954 in Junction City, Kansas.
Patricia worked as a car hop for Jerry's Main Lunch, Benner Tea Company and Ross in her younger years. Later she worked for a hog confinement raising pigs and ten years as a cook for Morning Sun Care Center.
She was a member of Cornerstone Community Bible Church.
She loved to go to the casino and was an avid bowler. She was the #1 Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan. She loved Chicago Bears football and Tony Stewart and John Brockway racing. She was a very proud descendant of the Sioux Indians.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Brockway of Mediapolis; three children, Terry Bliss of Mediapolis, Catherine (William) Stalker of Charlotte, North Carolina and John (Sandy) Brockway of Morning Sun, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Dusty, Denny, Kara, Nathan, Grant, Jeremy, Jakob, Stephani and Kylie; two great grandchildren Matthew and Andrew; one step great grandchild Kate and one sister Kay Holloway of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Evelyn.
The funeral service for Mrs. Brockway will be 10:30 Friday, March 22nd at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Jeffrey King will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21st at Lunning Chapel where the family will receive friends.
A memorial has been established for the American Lung Association.
