Mary Frances Lehman, 85, of Burlington, died at 3:50 PM Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Great River Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born October 2, 1933, in Agency, IA, she was the daughter of Oscar and Florence (Nordgren) Rill. On August 25, 1956, she married George William Lehman in Agency, Iowa.
Mary worked in food service in the Burlington School System for 20 years and IAAP in payroll for 6 years.
She graduated High School in Agency, IA.
Mary greatly valued her family and friends. She was of Methodist faith and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was active in the Girl Scouts of America, Rainbow Girls Organization, and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include husband, George of Burlington; three daughters, Diana (Doug Conner) Lehman of Salem, Anita Lehman of Des Moines, and Amy (Troy) Dodge of Burlington; four grandchildren: Amanda, Ryan and Trent Gorrell and DeLana Dodge; three great-grandsons: Gavin Bencze and Marcus and Rayden Gorrell; and several nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Jeane Metz and Virginia Annabelle Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Following the visitation, an Eastern Star Service will be conducted.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lehman will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Rev. Melisa Bracht-Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home immediately following the service.
A memorial has been established for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
