David R. Baker, 55, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines after a brief illness.
Born March 15, 1966, he was the son of Richard and Carol (Benne) Baker.
He is survived by sisters; Elaine Baker (Jeff Ciarimboli) and Sarah (Tom) Lorenzen; nephew Nick (Lindsey) Lorenzen; nieces, Jenna Lorenzen (Josh Pirtle) and Emily Lorenzen; great niece Lyla Lorenzen; aunts and uncles, Sharol (Stan) Kroll and Richard (Carol) Benne; step mother Ruth Baker; step siblings, Leslie (Rory) McCulloch, Mike Berry and David Berry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Mr. Baker will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29th at Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Susanne Smith will officiate. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 28th at Lunning Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name for the Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside.
