Jeffrey Hall, 67 of Burlington, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born December 6, 1954 in Burlington, he was the son of Jack L. and Evelyn B. (Prox) Hall. He attended First Christian Church. He attended Burlington High School.
Jeff married Sheila Barnes July 7, 1977. She preceded him in death on May 22, 1990. On June 1, 1991 he married Arleen Ann Miller. They later divorced.
Jeff was a machinist for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 27 years, retiring January 2003.
He enjoyed playing guitar, martial arts (he was a 2nd degree black belt) and gardening. He loved all his family, especially his grandkids and attending their sporting events. Jeff loved being in the kitchen. He was a big fan of setting off fireworks!
Survivors include his children Feleicha (Kenny) Kemp of Burlington, Zachary (Korey) Hall of Iowa City, Natalie Hall (Brant Johnson) of Burlington, Heather Perez of Burlington, Robin Kindig of Burlington, Chad (Kelly) Brueck of Cedar Rapids, Sara (Jeff) Anderson of Davenport; grandchildren, Kellen Kemp, Cameron Kemp, Cassidy Kemp, Rowan Hall, Andrea Hall, Jamie Joseph Hall, Jayden Lineberry, Ella Johnson, Lindsey Higgins, Lauren Oard, Olivia Oard, Isaac Oard, Charlie Mae Kindig, Carmen Anderson, Mateo Perez, Brady Brueck, Kelso Brueck, Poppy Brueck, Sadie Anderson, Taylor Anderson; great grandchildren Lillian, Vivian, Bryleigh, Madilyn, Kingston, and one on the way; siblings Jack (Becky) Hall of Macomb, IL, Rick (Kelly) Hall, David (Linda) Hall, Beth (Roger) Hecox all of Burlington, Special Friend and Partner Debbie Roscum of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sheila and a nephew.
The funeral service for Jeff will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 16th at Lunning Chapel with Pastor Sam Fratt officiating. Visitation will be noon to 7:00 pm Friday, July 15th at Lunning Chapel with family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Great River Christian School.
