George William Fahlgren, 81, died of an apparent heart attack at his home at 1514 Mark Lane, Thursday, March 12, at 9:54 p.m. Mr. Fahlgren was owner and operator of the B&F Cigar store, 417 Jefferson. He had been a director of the Burlington Baseball Assn., board member of the Burlington hospital and public library, director and president of the city's Outboard club, president of Flint Hills Golf club and member of the Coast Guard auxiliary. MNr. Fahlgren was a member of the Barbershop Chorus for several years. He was born in Burlington April 13, 1888, the son of William and Emma Anderson Fahlgren. Nov. 24, 1910, in Burlington, he married Elsie Wanner. Mr. Fahlgren was a member of the First United Church of Christ and the Eagles, Elks and Moose lodges. Surviving: The wife; two sons, Malcolm Fahlgren, Burlington, and Glenn Fahlgren, San Jose, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Jack Beavers, Mrs. William Groeltz and Mrs. Mark Welch, all of Burlington, and Mrs. Harold Wilkey, North Aurora, ill.; 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Charles Mosena, Burlington. Funeral: Saturday, 2 p.m. Prugh's chapel; Rev. Donald V. Klohr, Aspen Grove cemetery.
