James Carl "Moses" Waite, 54, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Rome and Long Beach, Calif., died Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in Salina, Calif. Born February 8, 1954, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was the son of Herbert and Margaret Inman Waite. He married Diane Waite. On September 28, 1987, he married Dolly Farnett in Burlington. Mr. Waite worked as a truck driver for Liberty Transport in Burlington for 10 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, grilling, and Rams football. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jacob Carl Waite of Mission Valley, Calif. And Durc Anthony Waite of Mount Pleasant; three daughters, Nancy Jean Waite of Mount Pleasant, Lillian Waite Sanchez of Bull Head, Ariz., and Veronica Waite Ford of Swedesburg; four grandchildren; one brother, Bill Waite of Tulare, Calif.; and one sister, Tharon Clemens of Kihei, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by one infant son, his parents and one brother. Visitation with family will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. The funeral for Mr. Waite will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Murphy Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
