Mrs. Ethel Becke, 83, of 2605 Bock, died in Burlington Medical Center at 7:23 pm Wednesday, Aug. 22.
She was born Dec. 17, 1895, at North Buena Vista, the daughter of George and Ida Erie Wick. She married John Becke in Burlington in 1938. He died in 1945. She was a member of St. Patrick's church.
Surviving; Son, LeRoy Taschner, South St. Paul, Minn.; daughter, Hazel Pepmeyer, Burlington; sister Minnie Schorg, Cedar Rapids; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 pm Saturday, Prugh’s Chapel; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
