Mrs. Pauline Louise Tackleson, 95, of Burlington, died at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. Born July 13, 1915, in New London, she was the daughter of John Herbert and Ruth Hunter Strack. On August 17, 1935, she married Harold Tackleson in Farmington. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1979. Mrs. Tackleson worked in data processing for TRW for 20 years. She loved playing bridge, bowling, and caring for her dog Dolly. Survivors include two sons, John Scott (Leslie) Tackleson of Cedar Rapids, and Daniel (Patricia) Tackleson of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, parents and brother Gerald Strack preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17th, in Lunning Chapel. A brief service will occur at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Aspen Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Bickford Cottage. According to Mrs. Tackleson's wishes, cremation has been accorded.
