Lois L. Swedenburg, 73, of Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Burlington, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2014.
Born Dec. 15, 1940, in Creston, she was the daughter of William and Edith Anderson. She married Gary L. Swedenburg, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Swedenburg moved to Leesburg from theMidwest in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg. She was in a domino club in Leesburg. She enjoyed photography, reading, taking her Chihuahua "Chico" to the dog park and, most of all, volunteering at her church.
Survivors include one daughter, Robin Carvajal of Montverde, Fla.; two sons, Quint Swedenburg of Sauk Centre, Minn., and Rodger Swedenburg of Amissville, Va.; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Joan Shriver of Merriam, Kan.
The memorial service for Mrs. Swedenburg was Oct. 12 at Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg.
Burial will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 1 in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, IA.
