Mrs. Mae Lind Binder, 86, longtime operator of the former Lind’s Bakery, was dead on arrival at Burlington Medical Center at 7:30 pm Thursday, March 11. Her home was at 2211 S. Main.
The daughter of Millard and Rachel Johnson Cook, she was born May 29, 1890, at Burlington. She married Roy Lind on Nov. 22, 1922; he died on April 25, 1958. April 4, 1970, she married Albert Binder. She taught ceramics for many years and was a member of First Christian church, White Shrine, Home and Garden Club, and Railroad Veterans auxiliary, and was a past matron of EC Blackmar OES chapter.
Surviving; The husband; step-daughter Dorothy Caviezel, Sunnyvale, Calif.; and seven step-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Binder will be held in Lunning Chapel at 10:30 am Monday with Rev. John Vickers officiating. Interment will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the chapel on Sunday 7:30 to 9 pm.
