Mrs. Elizabeth H. Binder, 77, of 2024 Sunnyside, died at 2:35 pm Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Burlington Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 18, 1901, in Saxony, Germany, the daughter of Hans and Helena Poehl. She came to the United States at age 9 and married Irvin Binder Nov. 24, 1921, in Burlington.
A housewife, she was a member of First United Church of Christ and Helene Hertzler Circle Kings Daughters.
Surviving; The husband; daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Wellman, San Carlos, Calif.; son, Waren, St. Joseph, Mo.; two brothers, Hans, Burlington, and Eric, of Tennessee; sister Mrs. Johanna Oetken, Burlington; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 pm Saturday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Alvin Volle: Aspen Grove Cemetery.
