Yueh Rong Su, 83, of Burlington, died at 1:57 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at her home.
Born March 30, 1933, in Kwang Sankun, Chulla Namdo, Korea, she was the daughter of Jiu Lian and Ming Yuh Ding Gau. On November 23, 1958, she married Wen Maw Su in Seoul, Korea. He died January 7, 2004.
Mr. & Mrs. Su along with their family owned and operated the Great Wall Restaurant for many years.
She enjoyed gardening, golfing, and driving.
Survivors include one son, Charlie (Shihchun) Su of Burlington; three daughters, Marcia (Simon) Chou of Marietta, GA, Susan (Joe) Lee of San Diego, CA, Maw Xian of Shan Tong, China; eleven grandchildren, Hai Bo, Wei Wei, Eugene, Nancy, Kattie, Wendy, Emily, Paulina, David, Sabrina, and Richard; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Pibin (Isabelle) Gau of Burlington.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Mike Su.
The funeral service for Mrs. Su will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Jong Koo Lee officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home following the burial.
A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
