Thelma Mae Binder, 71, of the St. Francis Continuation Care Center, formerly of Autumn Heights, died at 5:40 pm Monday, July 2, 1990, at the care center.
Born Aug. 26, 1918, at Ozark, Ark., she was the daughter of Elbert R. and Dolores Mantooth Kirby. She married Ernest Goodwin on Feb. 22, 1941, in Kansas City, Kan. He preceded her in death. She later married Dale Taylor on March 30, 1964, in Rock Island, Ill. He died in 1969. She then married Irvin Binder on Aug. 27, 1984, at Moline, Ill. He died Jan 18, 1986.
She had worked at the Burlington Bromm Factory, was a janitor for the Burlington school district, and was a homemaker.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Patricia (Henry) Gordon, Burlington; one son, Douglas Taylor, Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Alma (Bob) Bean ad Mrs. Lois (Emmett) Tinder, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Elizabeth Hiatt, Nevada, Mo.; one brother, Warren (Pauline) Kirby, Burlington; and several grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon Thursday with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 pm at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mrs. Binder will be 10:30 am Friday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Maurice Moore Officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
