Mrs. Ila "Glenadene" Stone, 94, of Sperry died at 3:57 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2016 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born April 26, 1922 in Henderson County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Evert and Myrtle Mae (DeJaynes) Wooldridge. On January 16, 1946 she married Marvin Francis Stone in Macomb, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993.
Mrs. Stone graduated from Blandinsville, Illinois High School and Burlington Beauty Academy. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Stone was a member of Sperry United Methodist Church. She and her husband enjoyed travelling all over the United States on their motorcycle, flower gardening, camping, sewing, recipes and baking.
Survivors include one son, Randall "Randy" S. (Sherry) Stone of Sperry; daughter, Debbie (Mike) Richart of New London; grandchildren, Temple (Chad) McCall Christner, Tasha (Darrick) McCall Gipple, Justin (Toni) Stone, Karlee Stone Webster, Ian (Erica) Yard, Jennifer Ross Mullenix, Anna (John) McCall Haire; great grandchildren, Morgan Christner, Tanner Gipple, Tysann Gipple, Raya George, Ally Stone, Jackson Stone, Taylor Webster, Kelsey Webster, Gage Webster, Dakotah Mullenix, Dayton Mullenix, Dawson Mullenix, Gabriella Haire, Caden Haire, Carter Haire and Harper Yard; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two daughters, one grandson, one brother and two sisters.
The funeral service for Mrs. Stone will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 27th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Dean Graber officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
A memorial has been established for Sperry United Methodist Church.
