Obituary
Jerry Hugh Beavers, 50, of 611 Sycamore St., died at 11:09 am Monday, Aug. 26, 1991, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Aug. 3, 1941, at Covington, Ky., he was the son of Hugh and Ailene Hicks Beavers. He married Marguerite Ives on Dec. 16, 1972, at South Gate, Calif.
He had been a maître d’ in a restaurant in Los Angeles and received an award for being one of the top three maître d’s of Los Angeles. He was a graduate of business college in Los Angeles and of Iowa Wesleyan College where he had been chief justice of the court of students. He was a member of Genesis Fellowship.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Johnathan Travis Beavers, 7, and Jesse Caleb Beavers, 4, both at home; and six brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation.
The service for Mr. Beavers will be at 6 pm Thursday at Genesis Fellowship with the Rev. Michael Knapp and Brother Larry Cotton officiating. A private graveside committal service will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for his children.
