Mrs. Helen L. Bied, 74, of 1233 Stowe St., died Friday, Aug. 3, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Feb. 8, 1916, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William and Antonite Ebert Sommers. She married Walter Eugene Bied on June 29, 1946, in Burlington, he preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.
Surviving are two sisters, Bernice Stansbery, Fort Madison, and Mildred Villarreal, Mathis, Texas; one brother, Richard Sommers, Omaha, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 pm Monday at Sheagren Funeral Home with a Christian wake service at 7:00pm.
The service for Mrs. Bied will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Sheagren Funeral Home, Burlington, with the Rev. Carl Leveling officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
