Wilma Mae Parsons, 73, of Burlington, died at 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at GRMC Klein Unit in Burlington. Born on February 17, 1936, she was the daughter of Harry W. and Edith M. Peel Harmon. Wilma worked as a factory laborer and retired as a file clerk from Farmers Insurance. She enjoyed reading and completing crossword or jigsaw puzzles. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Burlington. Survivors include two daughters, Connee (Dan) Hewitson of Burlington and Doris Beckham of Missouri; one son, Richard Parsons of Arizona; one sister, Maxine Staub of Burlington; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 5 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Edith Harmon; one sister, Doris Harmon; one brother, Harold Harmon; and one daughter Diana Lynn Parsons. The Memorial Service for Wilma Mae Parsons will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Burlington. Pastor Roddy Tate will officiate. Interment of ashes will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery on May 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. No formal visitation is planned. A memorial has been established for the Church of Christ.
