Mrs. JS (Lois) Beverly, 75, of Gulfport, Ill., died early today in Sacred Heart Hospital. Death was sudden.
Mrs. Beverly, widow of the Rev. J.S. Beverly, was born April 23, 1894, in Clarinda, Iowa. She operated a beauty shop in Gulfport for many years.
Mrs. Beverly was a member of the Baptist church in Mt. Pleasant and the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, WV Windsor, Fort Madison; and two grandchildren.
Her parents were Henry and Sylvia Cook.
The body is at Prugh’s Chapel, Burlington, where final rites will be at 2 pm Monday Rev. Donald Robinson, Burlington will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington.
The body will be at Neiters Chapel here until Saturday morning. The family will meet friends at Nieters between 7 and 8 pm Friday.
