Mrs. Ruth M. Solheim, 85, of West Burlington died at 6:15 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015, at Great River Medical Center - Klein Center.
Born February 6, 1930 in Deadwood, South Dakota, she was the daughter of Workman A. and Mary Ellen (Goodson) Scott.
On December 18, 1949 she married Alfred Elmer Solheim in Middletown. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2000.
Mrs. Solheim worked in the Middletown School in the cafeteria and also as aide to the principal until the school's closing. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed gardening and volunteered at the Visitor's Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol R. Solheim of Sperry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
