Obituary
A dispatch was received on Saturday from North Bend, Nebraska announcing the death of Rodney Arnold, Sen., an old and well known citizen of Flint river township, this county. Mr. Arnold, who was 79 years old, left home about three weeks since to visit a daughter at North Bend, Nebraska, and the dispatch received simply announces his death, and that his remains would be sent home, without giving further particulars. Mr. Arnold came to this county in 1835 and was well known by all the old settlers. His wife died twenty-one years ago, and was buried in the cemetery near this city.
P.S. The remains of Mr. Arnold arrived last night, and the funeral will take place at the residence of Mr. H.B. Doughty, on the homestead premises, on Wednesday at 10 o'clock a.m.
