LeRoy Snowden, 71, 3002 Market was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial hospital Saturday, Jan. 2. He was born Jan. 10, 1899, at Macomb, Ill., son of Reece and Margaret Scherrer Snowden. He married Jennie Walston March 28, 1925, in Rushville, Ill. He worked at the Hawkeye Motor Co. for several years. He was a World War I veteran and a member of DAV. Surviving: His wife; four sons, Robert, Richard, James and Eugene, all of Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Avery, Burlington, Mrs. Maxine Walters, Table Grove, Il; two brothers, J.E. Burlington, Tom, Industry, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Westerhold, Warrensburg, N.Y. and Fern Snowden, Macomb, Ill.; 14 grandchildren. Funeral: Monday, 10 a.m. Elliott-Lunning chapel, Dr. G.Dempster Yinger;Aspen Grove cemetery.
