Alliene Frances "Skip" Sisco, 85, of Burlington was born to eternal life at 12:20 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2006, at Davenport Good Samaritan Center in Davenport, Iowa. Born to life on November 19, 1920, in Murrayville, Illinois she was the daughter of Charles LeRoy and Grace Lukeman Dyer. In August of 1940, she married Paul E. Thrasher. They later divorced. On December 31, 1957 she married Howard E. Sisco. He was born to eternal life on March 4, 1989. Mrs. Sisco was a 1937 graduate of Fort Madison High School. She was of the Methodist faith. She worked at Benner Tea Company/Giants as a cashier/bookkeeper until it became Aldi 's. She then worked as a teller for F&MBank and Trust until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Women of the Moose, V.F. W. Ladies Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, bumper pool and shuffle board; and was also a Chicago Bears football and St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan. Survivors include four daughters, Pat Connelly and Sandra (Vallin) Albright both of Davenport, Paula (Bob) Ryan of Burlington and Sharon Spoils of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister preceded her into eternal life. Friends may call Friday, October 6th, 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Family visitation will be Friday, October 6th, 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM. The funeral service will be Friday, October 6th, at 1:30 PM in Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Steven Parker will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center.
