Jacklyn Jo Sink, 81, of Burlington, died at 5:23 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Great River Hospice House.
Born October 21, 1936, she was the daughter of Clatus and Vera (Ake) Hornung. She married John L. Sink on April 2, 1955 in Burlington. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2004.
Jacklyn graduated from Burlington High School in 1954. She worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, First National Bank, was the secretary for her husband's business and also a dedicated mother of four. She loved her family and her dogs. She had many hobbies including camping, garage sales, going to the Iowa State Fair, flowers, bird feeding, baking for holidays and dancing.
Survivors include four children, Douglas Sink of Gulfport, Cathryn (Kevin) Johnson and Craig (Kristine) Sink both of Burlington and James Sink of Naples, FL; two sisters, Karol Kemp of Anchorage, AK and Delores Stevenson of Burlington; twelve grandchildren, Mindy M. Sink-Moore, Tony L. Sink, Kevin Blake Johnson, Colin K. Johnson, Paige C. Billings, Matthew D. Sink, Brandon M. Sink, Bradley A. Sink, Samantha K. Sink, Joseph R. Sink, Elizabeth C. Sink, John D. Sink and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice House.
