Cynthia Ann Siems, 58, of Galesburg, IL, died at 3:07 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at her home. Born February 27, 1951, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Carl Andrew and Tessie Dodd Bergquist. On July 17, 1971, she married Daniel R. Siems in Burlington. Mrs. Siems was a homemaker. She was an artist who created watercolor and ink house portraits, an active church member, and a talented musician who sang and played the flute. She most recently was a member of First Baptist Church in Galesburg. Survivors include her husband; her mother of Burlington; three daughters, Heather Olson of Galesburg, Christy Komenda of Springville, N.Y., and Heidi Eckhardt of Iowa City; one son, Andrew Siems of Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Deborah Wittkamp and Robin York, both of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The grave- side service for Mrs. Siems will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Galesburg, with the family officiating. A memorial has been established.
