Donald Eugene Shuster, 51, of Iowa City, died at 5:59 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Born December 20, 1958, he was the son of Margaret and Dean Boysen. Mr. Shuster worked in the Sheltered Workshop of Reach for Your Potential. He competed in the 50-yard dash at Special Olympics. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He enjoyed music, dancing, teasing people and making them laugh, shaking hands, and giving hugs and kisses. Survivors include his parents of West Burlington; two brothers, Larry West of Springfield, Ill., and Joe O'Donnell of Galesburg, Ill.; one sister, DeeAnn Rozendaal of New Sharon; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grand- parents. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, where the family will receive friends. The funeral for Mr. Shuster will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established for Reach for Your Potential, Iowa City.
