Clifford Leroy Sheppard, 68, of Burlington, died at Blair House, Burlington, IA, on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
Born on December 15, 1947 in Burlington, Iowa, he was the son of Roy E. and Hermia Galbraith Sheppard.
Clifford was a janitor at JI Case Co. He was an avid Hawkeye football fan and enjoyed the Burlington train culture, train collectibles & books. He also enjoyed stamp & coin collecting, wildlife (especially wolves) and western TV shows such as Bonanza & Gun Smoke.
He is survived by one sister, Patricia (David) Milton of Burlington, IA; two nieces, Melissa and Robin Milton of Burlington, IA; one great-niece, Kandace Durbin of Burlington, IA; one great-great-niece, Alayna Cable of Burlington, IA; and one great-great-nephew, Adrian Cable of Burlington, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Graveside Committal Service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Aspen Grove Cemetery. Chaplain Dean Graber will officiate.
The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 3:30 p.m. in Prugh’s Chapel, 317 N. 4th St. A memorial has been established for Great River Hospice.
