Services for Mr. Glen Howard Bernhart, 48, of 521 May Avenue will be Friday at 1:30 pm at the Elliott-Lunning Chapel, Dr. G. Dempster Yinger officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Bernhart was killed instantly in an accident at the Burlington Truck Lines terminal Tuesday when a forklift he was operating overturned on him.
The son of Carl and Ina Nisley Bernhart of 1230 Caroline, was born in Huron township Jan. 24, 1916. On Nov. 25, 1944, he married Marjorie Marshall at Burlington. He was a member of the First Methodist church and the Teamsters Union. He was also an Air Force veteran of WWII.
Survivors include his widow and seven children; Mrs. Janet Murphy, Carman, Ill.; Terry, James, Gene, Linda, La Vonna and Judy, all at home; his parents; brothers and sisters, George of Avon, Ill.; Herbert of 2003 Mason; Mrs. Marguerite Siefken, 1221 Caroline; Roy of 411 Swan, West Burlington; Raymond of Avon; Mrs. Doris Mason, Tulsa, Okla.; Paul of Avon; June Bernhart of Tulsa, Okla., and two grandchildren. One sister is dead.
