Roland Francis Bernand, 70, Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab, Stronghurst, Ill., formerly of Burlington, died at 8:45 am Monday, Aug.1, 1994, at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab.
Born Aug. 21, 1923, in Salt Springs, Mo., he was the son of George E. and Ida Kennedy Bernand.
Mr. Bernand was a truck driver.
He was a WWII US Army veteran. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include three sons, William F. Bernandy of Green Rock, Ill., Curtis Bernand of Burlington and Bruce Bernand of Galesburg, Ill.; one daughter, Bonnie Harper of Maine; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Lloyd Bernand of Holden, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
The family will receive friends between 7 and 8:30 pm Wednesday at Prugh’s Chapel.
The funeral for Mr. Bernand will be at 10:30 am Thursday at Prugh’s Chapel, with the Rev. Barrie Tritle officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
