Brenda Lea Scranton, 77, of Aurora CO, passed away on September 12, 2017, in her home.
Born October 31, 1939 in Kansas City MO, she was the daughter of Dorothy and Leroy Lowe. On December 14, 1962, she married William (Bill) Scranton in Ft. Dodge, IA.
She was a 1957 graduate of Fort Dodge High School. After high school graduation, she worked as a preschool teacher, a speech aid, a State Farm insurance office manager, and a secretary for West Burlington Superintendent of Schools.
Brenda enjoyed scrapbooking, vacationing in Florida with her family, visiting her close friend Sharol, gambling and the Denver Broncos.
Survivors include her daughter Shelli Busse, two sons Todd Scranton and Brett Scranton, granddaughter Erin Wells (husband Shamus), two great-grandchildren, Reese Wells and Lane Wells; and three cousins; Linda Scrivner, Nancy Thomas, and Barbara Loopstra. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother Darrell Lowe, and her cousin Karen Hodil.
She was a Christian, a dear friend, a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother, great grandmother, and a very caring soul. She lived fearlessly and with dignity.
There will be no services, and the family will hold a private celebration of life ceremony at a later date.
