Obituary
It is with Great Sadness that we give notice that our Beloved Mother left us to be with the Lord on May 5, 2017 at the age of 88. She died peacefully with Stacy and Connie by her side. She lived her life to the fullest each and every day and when her heart could no longer keep up, she simply took her last breath.
She believed in laughter, happiness, singing and smiles. Saying when you Smile people will smile with you; when you frown, you frown alone.
She loved men and was always asking for a kiss and she received a lot of them!
She moved to Yuma in 1970 with her husband, Herbert Schwenker to manage the Yuma Golf and Country Club. Eventually they bought their own Bar and Restaurant in New Albin, Iowa near where Ella Mae was born. In the late 1980's Ella Mae moved back to Yuma and worked at YRMC as the Grill Cook until she retired.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Shirley Anders (Jerry), Connie Bowling (Gary) & Stacy Nelson (Eddie). Grandchildren: Scott Bowling, Garrett Bowling (Crista), Tyler Walker, Blake Nelson, Keith Nelson, Ryanne Anders and Nickolas Anders. Great Grandchildren: Cheyenne, Cierra, Chloe, Savanna, Hailee, Jordan, Laityn Mae & Blair due in July.
She was greeted in Heaven by her husband Herbie and daughter Linda.
She will be buried at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Iowa with a Memorial Service there.
She will remain in our hearts Forever. Until we meet again Mom... We Love You.
