Dr. Walter H. Schwartz, a native of Burlington, died at 5:50a.m. Friday at Delaware, Ohio. A retired World War II Navy physician, Dr.Schwartz was serving as Delaware Health commissioner. He was 54 years old. Born here Aug. 13, 1906, he was the son of Albert H. and Anna Dorner Schwartz and was married June 24, 1930, at Eagle Grove to Margaret Young. Schwartz was a Lutheran. Surviving are his wife, a son, Walter H. Jr. of Delaware, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Mary Sloan and a brother, Clarence J. Schwartz both of Burlington, and several nieces and nephews. His father and a brother, Herbert, died previously. The body will be brought to Prugh's chapel.
