Margery Violet Weiler, 95, of Burlington, died 3:30 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Great River Medical Center - Klein Unit.
Born December 20, 1917 in Sewal, Iowa, she was the daughter of John Walter and Beula Violet (Bettis) Mullin. She married Edward Frank Weiler on November 14, 1943 in Kahoka, Missouri. He died September 11, 1986.
Margery was a 1937 graduate of Sewal High School. She previously worked for IAAP, Ross Manufacturing and Leopold Desk and Furniture Company.
She was a lifelong member of First Christian Church - Disciples of Christ where she was very active with church activities and the Lydia group. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, embroidery, and playing BINGO. She was a very active volunteer in various aspects, and was presented the Governor's Award for Volunteerism.
Survivors include; three daughters, Sharon Melton of Maple Hill, Kansas, Doreen (Ron) Chaney of Burlington and Mary (Evan) Bachtell of West Burlington; grandsons, John Melton and Star Melton; granddaughters, Rebecca Melton and Tara Chaney; great-granddaughter, Lanie Jade and one sister, Dorothy Powers of Alpharetta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, twin daughters, Charleen Weiler and Charlotte Beach, son, Ronald Weiler, granddaughter Beth Melton, and brothers, Carl Mullin and Claris Mullin.
