Earl J. Scholes III, 50, of Burlington, died Tuesday, October 4, 2005, at the VA Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Born February 24, 1955, in Bethesda, MD, he was the son of Ear J. Scholes, Jr. and Susan Maude Williams. Mr. Scholes was a Security Guard. He served in the U. S. Navy Submarines. He is survived by one uncle, James A. (Lois) Scholes of Brentwood, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Scholes was cremated. Prugh Funeral Home was incharge of the arrangements. Burial was in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
