Arthur C. Berges, 95, of Oakland, Calif., died at 7:30 pm Saturday, July 25, at Alameda Hospital, Alameda, Calif.
He was born July 18, 1886, in Powhatan, Ohio, to the Rev. JD and Wilhelmina Guth Berges. He married Blanche M. Walbrand in 1911, at Cedar Rapids; she died on Jan 30, 1973.
He had worked in machinery sales for 50 years and was retired. He was a member of the United Church of Christ, and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, Davenport, and the Knight Templar, Aahmes Shrine.
Surviving; One son, Robert E. Burges, Alameda, Calif; a brother, Adolph Berges, Burlington, and two grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30, Monday, August 3, First United Church of Christ, the Rev. Alvin Volle; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
