Obituary

Lydia Emma Berges, 78, 1160 Ash Street, died at St. Francis hospital at 12:30 am Monday after an extended illness.
She was born in Strasburg, Ohio, Jan. 23, 1868, the daughter of Rev. JD Berges and Elise Moeri Berges, and had been a resident of Burlington for 50 years. She was a member of the First Evangelical and Reformed church, and the Ladies Aid of the church.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Adolph Morlock and Elizabeth Berges, both of Burlington; and 4 brothers, Paul, Adolph, and Oscar, Burlington and Arthur, Birmingham, Mich.
Services will be held in the First Evangelical and Reformed church, Wednesday at 3:30 pm. The cortege will leave Prugh’s chapel at 3:20, burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
