Louise Charlotte Schey, 89, of Burlington, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. so, 2004, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born Dec. 12, 1914, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Hilmer and Julia Gilberg Erickson.On Jan 25, 1939, she married Edward Scheu in Burlington. Mrs. Scheu worked at Midwest Biscuit Co. before marriage and then later for J.S. Schramm and Co. She was a member of Burlington First Baptist Church. She was involved with Camp Fire Girls, King's Daughters, PTA and was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed sewing clothing and doll clothes, knitting, crocheting, flower gardening, traveling and golfing. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Judy Scheu of Honolulu, Hawaii and Lucia Graham of O'Fallon, Ill; two grandchildren; one great-grand-child; one brother, Norman Erickson of Traverse City, Mich. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Scheu will be a 1 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Tyrone Henderson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Association.
