M. Inez Hoambrecker, 80, of Burlington died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born on Oct. 12, 1925, in Marysville, she was the daughter of Elmer Franklin and Edith Pearl Hall Little. On Nov. 11, 1942, she married Kenneth Tickel in Princeton, Mo. He died June 22, 1975. Sh married Roger Hoambrecker on June 14, 1976, in Mediapolis. She attended Williamson schools. She worked for Sylvania and retired from Champion Spark Plug in 1984 after 27 years. She attended West Hill Methodist Church. She was a member of the Eagles and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, the Cardinals, playing cards, gardening, canning, boating and doing crossword puzzles. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed embroidering. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Faye Gundy of Keokuk and Shelley Varner of Coal Hill, Ark.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Retha Burgett of Chariton; one step-daughter, Ruby Sink of Burlington; one stepson, Rodney Hoambrecker of Atlanta, Ga.; two step-grandsons; and four step-great-grandsons. Besides her first husband, she was preceded in death by one son and two sisters. Her body has been cremated. There will be no services. Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis is in charge of arrangements.
