Maudie E. Benson, 79, Burlington Care Center, died Friday evening, Jan. 11, 1991, at the care center.
Born March 14, 1911, in West Memphis, Tenn., she was the daughter of John J. and Mina McCandless. She married Frank E. Benson on April 28, 1938, in Plattsmouth, Neb. He died July 1, 1983.
She was a homemaker and protestant.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Benson, Kingston, and David Howell, West Burlington; two brothers, Charles McCandless and John J. McCandless, both of Burlington; one sister Violet Vicksel, Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm Sunday at the Lunning Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. Benson will be at 2 pm Monday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.
