Josephine Sandell, 90, of Fairfield, died Tuesday, April 1, at the Living Care Center in Fairfield. Visitation will begin Thursday, April 3, at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established for the Josephine Sandell Memorial Fund; contributions to be sent in care of First National Bank of Fairfield. Online condolences may be sent at www.raymondfuneralhomes.com. She was born February 7, 1918, near Salina, the daughter of Albert and Hannah Olson Rosequist. On October 4, 1940, she married Chris Sandell in Fairfield. A lifetime resident of Jefferson County, she was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress. The was a member of the Salina Rebekah Lodge, Iowa LEA, and the Salina Dorcas Society. She is survived by her cousins. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
