Jessie Ruby St. Louis, 94, of Danville, formerly of Robinson Heights in Burlington and Oakville, died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born October 17, 1913, in Warren County, she was the daughter of Roy and Kathryn Finch Cowman. In 1942, she married Walter Arthur Faidley, Sr. in Knoxville. He died in 1952. She then married John Cleek. She later married Ray O. Nyberg. He died in 1960. She later married Eleazer St. Louis. Mrs. St. Louis worked as a nurses' aide at Burlington Medical Center for 12 years, and as a house aide at the Holiday Inn. She attended school in the Knoxville area and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening, playing cards, bingo, sewing and her pet Dickey Bird. Survivors include two daughters, Vera Irene Noble of West Burlington, and Caryl Ann Logan of Danville; two sons, Walter Arthur Faidley of Kingston, and Richard Leland Nyberg of Burlington; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one half-brother, one half-sister, one grandson and one great-granddaughter. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, and after 8 a.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. St. Louis will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Randall Gearheart officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been estblished for Danville Care Center and Danville Fireman's Association.
