Helen Jeane Rudy of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Burlington, died Thursday, May 10,2007, in Louisville. Born in Oakman, Ala. May 23, 1927, she was the daughter of Homer A. and Lonia Elizabeth Palmer Fowler of Douglasville, Ga. On July 12, 1952, she married Robert Henry Rudy in Eastpoint, Ga. He died July 1, 1993. Mrs. Rudy was Lutheran. She was a member of Ladies of the Moose and V.F.W. Auxiliary No. 2246 of Rome, N.Y. Survivors include one son, the Rev. R. Steven Rudy of Louisville; three grandchildren; and one sister, Muriel Odem of Leesburg, Ala. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter and two brothers. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m. The graveside service for Mrs. Rudy will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Aspen Grove cemetery, with the Rev. John Bohnenkamp of Louisville officiating.
