Roy E. Ellis, 84, of 306 E.Pennington, West Burlington, died at 5:28 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at Burlington Medical Center. He was born June 26, 1894, in Jefferson county, the son of John W. and Mary Vorhies Ellis. He was a retired production worker at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. Surviving: Daughter, Mrs. William (Helen) Rothlauf, West Burlington, with whom he made his home; son, Glen R., San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grand children; a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Zellz) Jennings, Fairfield. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Prugh's chapel, Rev. John Vickers; Aspen Grove cemetery.
