Mrs. Ada Susan Bennett, 69, Madison Rd., died at 12:15 am Tuesday in Mercy Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1897, in Virginia, the daughter of Thomas E. and Amanda Cox Jones. Dec. 30, 1914, she married Charles L. Bennettin Carthage, Ill. He died June 1.
Surviving: two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Huffman of Burlington, and Mrs. Helen Atkins of Lehigh, Fla.; five sons, Elza J, Edward, Lloyd, and Donald Bennett of Burlington, Leland Bennett of Terre Haute, Ill.; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lulu Freeman of Dallas City, ill.; three brothers, Otto Jones of Arbela, Mo., Harvey Jones of Burlington and Norman Jones of Batavia.
Services: Thursday at 2 pm, Prugh’s Chapel; Aspen Grove Cemetery. Rev. Mr. Melvin Norton will officiate. The family will receive friends at Prugh’s Wednesday evening from 7:30 until 9:00
